Very pleasant outdoor seating with some i door seating. Wonderful food and excellently presented! Service was impeccable as well! It was a wonderful experience. The chirashi lunch was perfection and the sashimi was so good, it is served over sushi rice! Highly recommend trying this place , it won't disappoint!
We love Masa's sushi. The food is always fresh, creativity prepared and tasty. It's our "go to" sushi place in downtown Novato. The outdoor seating is a nice treat.
This is the best sushi spot I have been able to find in Bay Area. It is a bit on the pricier side but you get what you paid for. You don't get a wide selection ( pages and pages of rolls) like you do at any other typical sushi spot. But every roll is extremely good and very high quality. The service is hit or miss.
Very good sushi. Karaage and gyoza were below average imo. Corn tempura was good. Prices high for the sushi and very high for the sake.
My #1 restaurant in Novato. The sushi here is on par with Sushi Ran in Sausalito and no other sushi restaurant in Novato or San Rafael can compare. Everything is exceptional, especially the hamachi jalapeño. They offer great lunch specials. The service is always perfect. Highly recommend, it is *chefs kiss*.
I so want to gate keep this place but that wouldn't be fair. My first experience here was a special omakase dinner and it was amazing. Yes, you have to call and pay ahead but the fish they bring in and prep...Wow! Their menu is sophisticated and well curated with simple things done with a modern twist and done well. They showcase wine from a local, Japanese-owned winery (in Berkeley) and great beer and sake choices. I love that this place is small and cozy with outdoor eating. We talked to the chef and learned that he is part owner and used to work at Sushi Ran. The other co owner is wonderful host whose parents used to own the restaurant before their retirement. Tops pics from their regular menu include the filet mignon teri beef, the corn tempura and the miso cod. Just LOVE!!!
Lunch at Masa's was amazing My chirashi was as I expected, great omakasa, kudos to the chef very traditional Chirashi with my favorite Ikura and delicate fish. Visit with girlfriends was lovely Great service from the lady's Everyone was happy with their meal but I was the happiest Thank you!!! I will be back for lunch again
Started 2024 off right! Popped by for lunch and still delicious as ever. Super fresh fish, great value for their Chirashi sashimi lunch with perfectly seasoned rice and carefully selected ingredients.
